Customized Cardiovascular Simulators
Currently, the cooperation between the operator and the TEE imager is a crucial element of the dynamically developing field of structural interventions.
MrTEEmothy® platform is ready to be extended and used as a very realistic procedural simulator. Teamwork training of the operator and TEE imager, based on real heart models, makes the simulator the best solution for customized structural intervention training. Fluoroscopy can be an additional option as well.
MST team conducted R&D project and created a customized simulator for micro-invasive HARPOON beating heart mitral valve repair. Based on the MrTEEmothy® platform, the simulator combines the best features of the TEE simulation with a very realistic manipulation of the interventional equipment. The original HARPOON device has been modified to provide accurate impressions of the real procedure. Precision sensors mounted in HARPOON system give accurate measurements of position and angles of the tip of device. Our software in Harpoon Medical Training System has very advanced assessment and graphical reporting module. HMTS simulators serve in the teaching program, helping the interventionalists become proficient in this novel procedure.
